Fund Raising
As well as funds from membership, donations etc., we have raised funds from: sales of recordings, sales of personalised merchandise, commission from festivals or events, and prize draw and raffle proceeds.

Education
We provide a platform for New Orleans jazz in schools as a counter to the dominance of received musical forms (which now includes rock music as well as classical). The strategy is to demonstrate the music by means of workshop style performances.

Web Site
To project these objectives to a wider audience, a Web Site with approved links is operational. Its pages provide musical, educational and social material and include many photographs of both past and present day events, together with sound bites of some of Ken Colyer's recordings.

New Orleans Special Relationship
We have established affiliations with:

  • Tulane University Hogan Archive,
  • Jazz Museum - Old Mint.
